Open Access Licenses (CC)
Creative Commons (CC, some rights reserved) is a liberal form of copyright protection used in the open-access publishing environment.
CC offers various licensing schemes, and accordingly, copyright holders grant certain rights to use the work to the public while retaining other rights. CC licenses consist of a combination of several basic features that determine which rights the copyright holder retains and which rights they waive.

Attribution (CC BY)
This license provision allows for the reproduction, display, and distribution of the work, provided that the author is credited.
Attribution Share Alike (CC BY-SA)
This license provision allows for the reproduction, display, and distribution of the work, even in a modified form, provided that the original license is retained.
Attribution-No Derivatives (CC BY-ND)
This license provision allows for the reproduction, display, and distribution of the workonly in its original form, not in the form of derivative works.
Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC)
This license provision permits the reproduction, display, and distribution of the work, provided that the work is used solely for noncommercial purposes.
