The TnUAD University Library provides users with a wide range of lending, bibliographic, publishing, information, educational, and editorial services. We are here for you, not only to help you gain access to literature and premium e-resources, but also to teach you how to work with them effectively.
Electronic Services and Online Access
Electronic services are available to all registered users of the UK TnUAD. Through the library’s online catalog, users can manage their accounts, track their loans, renew loan periods, and reserve materials at any time. Selected electronic information resources are part of the UK TnUAD electronic services.
Bibliographic and Publication Services
- Creation and management of bibliographic databases.
- Management of Publications and Artistic Activities – Registration of TnUAD Employees’ Publications, Including Citations.
- Bibliometric Support.
- Advice on Selecting a Journal – Verifying the Quality of Periodicals.
- Thematic searches in domestic and international databases.
Information Services
- Access to electronic information resources— databases, e-books, and academic journals (both on-site and remote access).
- Information Literacy and Training — working with databases and citation managers, using AI tools in research.
- Reference and Consultation Services – expert assistance with searching for and evaluating information sources.
- Support for Open Science – consulting on open access publishing, research data management, and ORCID.
- Repository management and creation.
Educational and Promotional Services
- Training and workshops—promoting information literacy, working with databases, and AI tools suitable for the academic environment.
- Individual consultations—for students, faculty, and researchers.
- Development of informational and educational materials— handbooks, guides, and infographics.
- Presenting information about the TnUAD University Library and its services on the TnUAD University Library website and other web portals and networks.
- Event planning—specializedlectures, events, and more.
Publishing Services
- Assignment of ISBN and EAN identifiers for TnUAD publications.
- Management and submission of required copies.
Lending Services
- Off-Site Loans – Borrowing materials outside the library.
- On-site Loans – Viewing documents directly in our reading rooms.
- Reservations and Renewals – Loan management is handled online through your personal account in the library catalog.
- Interlibrary Loan Service (ILS) – Facilitating access to documents (or parts thereof) not held in our collection from other libraries within Slovakia.
- International Interlibrary Loan Service (MMVS) – Facilitating the borrowing of materials from foreign libraries.
- Electronic Delivery of Copies (DDS) – Sending digital copies of selected articles and chapters.
Reprographic Services
- Copying documents from the UK TnUAD collections.
- Scanning of documents from the TnUAD University Library collections (Provided exclusively for research and study purposes in accordance with copyright law).
